I have a bad habit of, after having spent hours making a quilt declaring: "It's done! Now no one can touch it!" I know, I know, it's something I need to work on...
When pondering what my final project would be for Dailylike, my husband asked if I could make him a quilt just for him, that he could actually touch!
I had recently purchased the Up North Quilt pattern by @penandpaperpatterns because the trailer block closely resembles our little Boler trailer and I realized it would be the perfect quilt for Justin since he has been tirelessly fixing up our little trailer.
I used the vibrant Solid Color Fat Quarter pack from Dailylike along with a few larger half-yard cuts. The background fabric is Cream Cotton. I added a few scraps that were in my stash to give the blocks some variety.
The tree blocks came together quickly especially if you chain piece where possible.
The trailer block looks complicated but the designer makes the process simple and straightforward plus it's easy to customize.
*Make sure you have the most current version of this pattern as there are some errors that the designer has corrected.
I used cotton batting and Olive Tree cotton for the backing.
I did simple quilting along the seams and highlighted a few of the tree blocks with little quilted X's. The Binding is a solid Brown that I machine sewed down because I predict this quilt will get a lot of use!
To my delight the solid colors had no color bleed when I put this in the wash.
I know hubby is looking forward to snuggling under this quilt while we camp with our little trailer!
I've enjoyed my last six months here with Dailylike as Official Supporter and I look forward to seeing what the next group of talented ladies create!
